The Geneva Garden Club proudly presents:
Geneva Garden Walk 2017 “A Garden Variety, Geneva Gardens in Bloom.”
The biennial Geneva Garden Walk, “A Garden Variety, Geneva Gardens in Bloom” will take place Friday and Saturday, June 16th and 17th from 10 am to 4 pm. The Walk features 5 Private and 3 Public Gardens, each one showcasing a different “variety” of gardening.
The GGC is also very excited to announce Special Guest Speaker, Mr. Roy Diblik, of Northwind Perennial Farm, will be a presenter at the walk on Saturday, June 17th. Roy Diblik is a recognized perennial plant expert, grower, designer, speaker and author. Combining his 35 years of knowledge growing traditional and Midwest native perennials, he specializes in highly aesthetic, sustainable plant communities for all seasons, while reducing maintenance through design. He believes that gardens should be thoughtful, ecologically directed, emotionally outreaching and yet very personal. Roy is co-owner of Northwind Perennial Farm located in Burlington, Wisconsin. His design and planting projects include the Louis Sullivan Arch Garden for the Modern Wing at the Art Institute of Chicago and the lakeside plantings for the new Oceanarium at the Shedd Aquarium. His book ‘The Know Maintenance Perennial Garden’ highlights his perennial gardening practice.
